Stephen Butler
Stephen M. Butler
President:

Steve Butler founded TimberCorp in 1989. He earned a B.S. degree in Forestry, as well as a Masters of Forestry in Forest Business from Mississippi State University. Steve’s early professional career included serving as a forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission, as well as working with a forest economist in Tacoma, Washington. For ten years he was the first forester on staff in the Trust Division of the largest bank in Mississippi, where he eventually became head of the Trust Real Estate Department. While there, he graduated with highest honors from the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Steve is a registered forester, real estate broker, and certified general appraiser. He received the Mississippi Society of American Forester’s Award as Outstanding Young Forester, served as President of the Mississippi Forestry Association, is Emeritus Trustee of the Mississippi Forestry Foundation, and is a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy in Mississippi. Dale Johnson
Dale Johnson
Private Lands Forester


Dale is a registered forester having received his Forestry degree from Mississippi State University. Dale started his career as a service forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission and then worked as a procurement forester for a pine sawmill. Dale joined TimberCorp in 1992. Dale’s strengths are in forest management, timber inventory, logging supervision, and reforestation. He works primarily with small, non-industrial forest landowners.
Richard Stringer
Richard Stringer
Institutional Forester-Southern Region
Richard joined TimberCorp in 2001 after serving a number of years as a Service Forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission. Richard earned his B.S. degree in Forestry from Mississippi State University and is a registered forester. Richard works primarily with institutional investor accounts. Richard has excellent forest management, budgeting, and administrative skills. He is also proficient with computer mapping using ArcMap.

Dillon Walker
Forester
Dillon received his B.S. degree in Forestry with a concentration in Wildlife Management from Mississippi State University. Prior to joining TimberCorp in 2014, he worked as an Associate Biologist with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. He is an avid hunter and athlete, earning the status of All-American in soccer in 2010. Dillon is licensed as a Registered Forester and is pursuing a Real Estate Sales license.

Nic Hancock

Forester
Nic joined TimberCorp in 2015. Prior to working with us, he was employed as a Service Forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission. Nic was based in the Mississippi Delta region where he gained considerable experience in bottomland hardwood management and reforestation. He is also a U.S. Army Veteran who served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to completing over 100 combat missions as a Commander’s gunner, Nic is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist. He is a registered forester who earned his B.S. in Forestry from Mississippi State University.

Special Projects Advisor
Steve Ozier joined TimberCorp in 1997. He has a degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Steve has deep forestry roots having grown up working on his family’s tree farm. Steve is now general manager of the family tree farm–a property on which his parents earned the distinction of being the national Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year in the American Forest Council. Steve served as office manager for TimberCorp from 1997 to 2015. He now serves part-time as internal auditor and on special projects with TimberCorp while he devotes more time to serving God through his church.
Jenni White
Jenni White
Office Manager
Jenni began working with TimberCorp in 2012. Her duties include reconciling pay-as-cut timber sale settlements, hunting lease administration, and other clerical functions. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and worked in banking prior to joining TimberCorp.

Melody King
Administrative Assistant
Melody began working with TimberCorp in 2015. She provides administrative and office support to our staff by fielding phone calls, maintaining files, and sending and receiving correspondence. Prior to working with TimberCorp, Melody was employed in the health care industry. She is a graduate of Antonelli College where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree.

Aletta Hairr Butler
IT Specialist
Aletta began working with TimberCorp in 2015. She has revamped the website to be more user and mobile friendly, as well as implementing Google Docs for Hunt Leases, Bid Sales, and Pay-As-Cut, providing TimberCorp customers with the up to date information they seek. She graduated M.G.C.C.C. Phi Theta Kappa with an AS in history and is working towards an interpreter for the deaf as well as a Real Estate Broker license.
